Travel day on our own. The NY Perillo group has departed for home.

We are currently passing through Austria. The train ride to Munich is 6 hours from Bologna- I’m not sure that there was full disclosure of this fact. I do remember rejecting the overnight trip in favor of being able to see the scenery; plus some people might be cranky after a night on the train (not mentioning any names).

We are in first class. The bathrooms are fine; wine and beer are available, but no coffee or hot food. the WiFi is working!

The snow covered Alps and bucolic scenery is wonderful; but can’t be captured in a photo because our reflections appear in the window.

Next stop: Munich.
