My fellow travelers reminded me that at least one of us has sampled local foods that are more “unusual.” In fact, Mary ate quail and pigeon (stuffed) on the same day in Cairo. She is still with us.

After she worked on it awhile with utensils, the waiter told her that the proper way to attack it is to break it in two with your hands and dig in.
We also heard that camel is eaten and that the local KFCs stand for “Kentucky Fried Camel.” What do you think?
Personally, I suggest the kabob…
