As travels go, this one has been smooth sailing so far. Well, after a chaotic departure from home caused by having too much luggage to fit in our medium rental car. I thought we were travelling light…. But a quick trip to SRQ for a mini-van and we were off to Miami with plenty of time to wait for our flight. Overnight to Paris; day in the airport in Paris; then a relatively short (4 hour) flight to Cairo and arrival in the early morning of the 15th.

We are a little foggy today, no doubt, so luckily a pool day was on the schedule to aid in the transition and allow rest up for touring to come.

Interestingly, there is no hot tub here but a “cold pool” for a quick plunge. The day is breezy, beautiful mid- 80’s, but I’m not tempted for the plunge.
